Dr. Ellis lives in Asheville with her husband, Dr. David T.Crouch, DVM, and their two sons, Mark (13 years old) and David (8 years old). Dr. Crouch is a Board Certified Veterinary Orthopedic Surgeon and pilot. The family volunteers to transport resuced animals with the non-profit organiztion "Pilots N Paws", and are members of the Asheville Humane Society Founder's Circle. Drs. Ellis and Crouch support the Animal Compassion Network and Dr. Crouch is a volunteer surgical consultant for the Community Partnership for Pets in Western North Carolina.
